Fractional CTO
Provide experienced technical leadership for companies that need strategic direction, stronger engineering execution, or support through periods of growth and change.
Helping growing businesses scale their engineering and automate operational bottlenecks.
We provide fractional technology leadership, engineering reviews, and practical automation solutions that improve delivery, reduce manual work, and support sustainable growth.
Provide experienced technical leadership for companies that need strategic direction, stronger engineering execution, or support through periods of growth and change.
Identify delivery bottlenecks, technical risks, and organisational issues before they become expensive. Practical recommendations focused on execution, not lengthy reports.
Automate repetitive internal processes using modern software and AI—from document handling and reporting to finance workflows and bespoke internal tools.
AI is most useful when it becomes part of the way a business already works — not another chatbot sitting next to it.
We design and build AI workflows with appropriate data controls around existing systems, documents and operational processes. That can mean automating repetitive work, extracting structure from messy information, helping people make decisions, or building tools for processes that are too specific for off-the-shelf software.
We are particularly interested in operational businesses — logistics, mobility, automotive, events and specialist SMEs — where valuable workflows are often still held together by spreadsheets, email, PDFs and human knowledge.
The starting point does not have to be an AI project. Bring us a process that is slow, manual, expensive or simply annoying, and we can work backwards from there.
Have a workflow worth fixing? Let’s talk about it.
Typical work includes:
Cloud, dedicated or self-hosted setups where sensitive business data stays under control.
Connecting AI to email, documents, internal tools, databases and existing business software.
Classification, extraction, comparison, validation and generation across PDFs, forms, contracts and correspondence.
Purpose-built interfaces for teams rather than generic chatbots.
Taking an operational problem and quickly finding out what can actually be automated reliably.

Technology Strategy & Engineering
A large B2B company struggled to modernise its e-commerce platform (NetSuite + custom shop). After a year of internal work, the project was still not launch-ready due to performance issues, high complexity, and slow change cycles.
I joined as an external advisor across business, tech, and third-party stakeholders (including NetSuite). We reworked the roadmap, reduced scope, and simplified core architecture and delivery approach, replacing large delayed releases with frequent incremental deployments.
Within three months, the platform reached public launch readiness. No team expansion was required—progress came from removing unnecessary complexity, correcting architectural decisions, and improving execution flow.
A mobility startup had a working hardware product, but its digital stack (user app, fleet management, and sales platform) was significantly delayed due to fragmented outsourced development across India, Russia, and Germany.
We were engaged to stabilise delivery and reorganise execution. We redefined ownership, introduced a predictable delivery pipeline, and improved coordination with vendors through direct technical engagement and structured quality reviews. Key components were moved in-house, with a dedicated engineering team formed for critical systems.
Within a year, the company had a stable, market-ready digital platform and began first commercial sales.
Joined a SaaS scale-up during rapid growth to mature its engineering organisation and delivery pipeline.
Helped structure engineering into domain-focused teams and directly managed a small, high-performing team. The engineering org grew from 10 to 30 people as the company scaled from 30 to 200. I initiated and oversaw several initiatives to reduce support burden, improve data quality, and increase system performance, alongside leading SRE improvements to strengthen reliability and operational discipline.
Established a structured hiring pipeline and took part in interviewing and evaluation of 300+ candidates. Also introduced early use of AI into both recruitment and day-to-day engineering workflows.
Most initiatives were either directly driven or initiated by me, working closely with the broader team on execution.
